Snuba

snuba-kids-300UNIQUE on St. Maarten !  Snuba is a patented shallow water diving system that bridges the gap between snorkeling and scuba diving.  It is safe and easy, family-friendly and does not require certification.

Even if you’ve never snorkeled, Snuba diving is for you !

  • Minimum age = 8
  • No bulky dive tanks
  • American trained instructors

Per person rates :

  • US$ 65 for children 8 to 12
  • US$ 75 for adults
  • US$ 45 for snorkeling only & spectators

How does it work ?

Snuba divers breathe underwater by means of a 20 ft air line which is connected to a standard scuba tank. The tank is mounted on a raft on the surface. It follows your every move. The air line allows you to tour underwater near the bottom, at mid-water or on the surface, depending on your level of comfort. There is no heavy diving gear.

Every tour is guided by a diving professional. Your guide will familiarize you with the Snuba equipment you will be using and will briefly describe what you can expect in the water

Schedule :

This excursion runs twice daily throughout the year, with check-in @ Dock Maarten @ 8:15 AM and 12:45 PM and excursion departure @ 8:45 AM and 1:15 PM.

SNUBA is fabulous. Bobbi and crew took 12 of us out in June 2009, and everyone had a blast. Some of the girls never even snorkeled, and were a bit nervous, but with the help of the wonderful crew, they got the confidence. Everyone plans on returning to St, Maarten next year to SNUBA. Thanks to all at Blue Bubbles!

I had a blast doing snuba! I was there in June 2009 with the Hoski family. At first I was a little nervous with it but the guy who was with my group made me feel very comfortable with it along with the people i was with. I plan on coming back next year to do it all over again! =]
